ROCK HOUSE
Nestled within an ancient lava field in Southern Utah, this home blurs the boundary between architecture and landscape. Its black façade mirrors the volcanic terrain, creating the illusion that the structure emerged from the earth itself. Encircled by Joshua trees and desert cacti, and overlooking the sweeping expanse of the Red Cliffs Desert Reserve, the home exists in harmony with its environment—where the quiet raw beauty of the desert becomes both its backdrop and its story.
Inside, the mood is intentionally calm, minimal, warm, and deeply textural. Tones were drawn directly from the surrounding rock and desert flora, translating the wild into warmth. A curated mix of custom and vintage furnishings complements the palette, while a sculptural monolithic stone island serves as the focal point of the kitchen.
This is a house rooted in its environment - quiet, grounded, and inseparable from the land it inhabits.
All outdoor furniture was designed in-house as part of our custom furniture collection, built to harmonize with both the architecture and terrain.
